Comprehensive Plan Community Questionnaire

 

The Town of Dagsboro is currently updating the comprehensive land use plan that will guide its growth and development for the next five to ten years. This is your opportunity to participate in the planning of your community’s future. The first step in preparing for the future is by asking the community members of Dagsboro what type of place they would like to live in. Please take a moment to complete the questionnaire. It is the first step in planning the future for the town.

Please complete the questionnaire by January 30, 2019. Hard copies are available at Town Hall, if you prefer to fill out a printed version. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Town Hall at (302) 732-3777.

Townwide Fire Hydrant Flushing December 12th-14th

***Please note: the fire hydrant flushing was started on Tuesday, November 27th, but due to technical difficulties, it needed to be postponed. The new dates for flushing are now December 12th and 13th, with the 14th as an extra day, if needed.

Coastal Gardeners of Sussex County Project at Town Hall

The Coastal Gardeners of Sussex County recently spent a day at Town Hall refreshing the landscaping by the sign and front of the building.  Thank you for sprucing us up.

 

 

 

 

The Coastal Gardeners of Sussex County a day at Town Hall. They spent the day doing some fall planting by the sign and the front of the building. It looks wonderful! They will be back in the spring to plant perennials.

Dagsboro’s 1st Annual National Night Out

 

Come out to the Dagsboro Fire Hall on Clayton Street August 7, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. for a free, fun, community-friendly event! The purpose of this event is to bring law enforcement and the general community together – all are welcome! There will be food, games, door prizes, music, law enforcement displays, and local information displayed by non-profits and business sponsors. Eddie the Eagle, a police bike patrol unit, police ATV, and a police car will be representing the Dagsboro Police Department at the event. Ocean View (with an Aerial Unmanned Vehicle) and Selbyville Police Departments will also be present. DNREC Police will have a trailer and the Delaware Army National Guard will have a vehicle highlighting the Military Police. The Dagsboro Fire Department will have equipment and a demonstration as well. Come enjoy and evening with the community and meet some community leaders, including Mayor Baull, Planning & Zoning Chairman Brad Connor, Fire Department President Al Townsend, and Police Chief Toomey.

Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department is in Search of Photos

 

The Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department will be celebrating it’s 75th anniversary this spring! They are looking for any photos of the original fire house or of the first two fire trucks. If you or somebody you know might have some, please look through your photos. If you have anything they could use, please bring them to Town Hall and we will get in touch with the contact person from the fire department to get copies made. Thank you so much!

 

Hydrant Flushing December 4th and 5th

 

The Town of Dagsboro will be flushing its fire hydrants between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on December 4th and 5th.

Residents and businesses are advised to check for discolored water, especially in their washing machines. If you observe discolored water or sediment, let your faucet run for a few minutes until it clears up. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
