Town of Dagsboro Delaware

Thank a Police Officer Day

Thank a Police Officer Day will be held Saturday, September 19th at 11 a.m. A table will be set up in front of the Dagsboro Police Department. We currently have 5 officers. Any donations are appreciated a few examples/suggestions would be bottled water, snacks, gift cards or personalized items.
This day is dedicated to LEO’s to show how much we respect them for what they do. These officers took an oath to protect our community and run towards what most of us would run from. While they are dealing with so much hate at this difficult time in our country lets do our best to show them how much they are appreciated!

We will try to keep you updated as the project progresses.

Traffic Delays – Town of Dagsboro

We have been advised that KCI Construction Services, LLC, has been contracted through DELDOT, to install a 4 inch conduit for fiber optic cable through the Town of Dagsboro.  The work is scheduled to begin Monday, March 23rd, 2020.  The normal work hours for the crews will be 7 AM to 5 PM on weekdays.  Traffic zones will be setup on a daily basis to allow for steady flow of traffic per the contractor.  They will be starting at the Dagsboro DELDOT yard on Dagsboro Rd continuing down Main Street and Vines Creek Rd.  This will take about a month to complete.  Weather may affect the timing of the project completion date.

Please consider alternative routes versus going through the town itself.

Coronavirus Update

At the March 16, 2020 Town Council meeting, the Council agreed that Town Hall will be CLOSED to the public until further notice, as per the current State of Emergency declared by our Governor.

Town employees will be at work during their regular times, but the doors will be locked – so walk-in customers should instead consider the following alternatives:

1. If the assistance of a Town employee is needed, please CALL (302) 732-3777 and an appointment can be made to come in. Phone assistance can also be given as well.

2. To pay water or other bills, there are three different methods: (a) Use the Town’s online payment method and pay by credit card; (b) drop off payment at the drop slot at the Police Department; (c) put your payment in the mail and send it in.

The Dagsboro Police Department will remain open as normal, but precautions are being taken to ensure the officers safety.

Also, the Dagsboro Town Council will NOT hold a Meeting in the month of April.

Take care, and be safe everyone!
