Please take notice that the 2021-2022 Annual Assessment list has been posted in the Town Hall and can also be viewed below. Said list contains the amount assessed to each taxable in the Town.

Any taxable that seeks to appeal the said annual assessment needs to complete a Tax Assessment Appeals Form can be obtained through the town website or picked up at Town Hall. When the form has been received by Town Administration, you will then be required to phone in and express your appeal at 6:oo p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021.

The decision of the Town Council sitting as the Board of Appeal shall be finally conclusive and the Town Council shall revise and complete said assessment at this sitting.

Prince George’s Cemetery

The Town has recently performed an inspection of the Prince George’s Cemetery and we have found that there are many violations in regard to the removal of decorations in a timely fashion. Please note the following rules and regulations and remove decorations by April 11th or the Town will remove them for you.

12. During the course of maintenance, the Council of the Town of Dagsboro shall not be responsible for the removal or damage of any flowers, plants, wreaths, or memorials placed on the graves.

13. Flowers and decorations should be removed in a timely manner: example – Christmas flowers should be removed before Easter, and Easter flowers should be removed before Memorial Day, etc. The Town of Dagsboro reserves the right to remove the outdated or damaged decorations.

Brown Water Complaints

The Town of Dagsboro had to flush hydrants from Sussex Street to Rt. 113 due to complaints of brown water. Should you experience brown water or sediment in your water please run water in your tub for at least 15 minutes and avoid doing laundry.

Prince George’s Cemetery Committee

Due to COVID-19 there will not be a Cemetery Committee meeting held in November 2020. The next scheduled meeting will be in May 2021.
